Bathampton Somerset

Bathampton is a village and civil parish 2 miles/3km east of Bath.The K&A passes through the village and a toll bridge links Bathampton to Batheaston on the north bank of the canal known quite simply as Bathampton Rd Bridge 183. The ere is also the Bathampton Swing Bridge 182 before you arrive at the toll bridge.

The George Inn is situated on the north bank and there are amenities for Boaters next to the Bridge as well. There is also the Crown at Bathford a little further out.

Local to Bathampton
On the top of Bathford Hill is Brown’s Folly Nature Reserve.

On the steep slope above Bathampton stone was heavily quarried in the area now called Bathampton Rocks,
